About Me

What's up, I'm Andrew.

Andrew was born across the ditch in Port Macquarie, before moving to the mighty Waikato as a youngster. Known as the "great white tuna" Jeffcoat has earned a reputation for being one of the fastest men in the world underwater. His unique talents and ability to perform under pressure have put Jeffcoat on the map as one of the worlds leading backstrokers across all distances.

A true sportsman, when he's not in the pool training Jeffcoat spends his time throwing a line off the rocks as a keen fisherman and stalking deer in the back blocks.

Questions
005
Where did you swim as a junior?
I broke my arm when I was 10 years old, and Mum thought it would be a good idea to start swimming properly after that at Coromandel Swimming Club to help strengthen it.
005
Your highlight career moment?
Winning my gold medal in the 50m Backstroke at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. It was a massive relief at the time, after missing out on a medal in the 100m. But, looking back on it I can't really believe it happened.
005
What's your go to brunch order?
Big breakfast and an iced mocha. Blended. Of course.
005
Any advice for younger athletes?
Find enjoyment in what you do. Make decisions for yourself, it's your journey.
005
Outside of the pool, where do we find you?
In bed. On the ocean. In the hills. I love hunting aye, it's just such a primitive itch...
